  1. Perpendicular- the relationship between two lines which meet at a right angle. A line is said to be perpendicular to another line if the two lines intersect at a right angle.

  2. Isosceles Triangle- Is a triangle that has two equal sides and two equal angles. Remember that in a Acute Isosceles all angles are less then 90 degrees.

  3. Centroid- the intersection of the three medians of the triangle( each median connecting a vertex with the midpoint of the opposite side)

  4. Acute Triangle - A triangle with all angles less than 90 degrees.

  5. Right Triangle - A triangle with one of the angles as 90 degrees.

  6. Rectangle- Is a quadrilateral with opposite side equal and parallel.

  7. Square- a quadrilateral with 4 equal sides and four 90 degree angles.

  8. Equiangular- a polygon whose vertex angles are equal

    Ex.(Square, Rectangle ect)

    1. Just add on what Elexis said :Equiangular- Is a Equilateral triangle, all angles equal to 60 degrees. A triangle which has all interior angles congruent/equal.

  9. Square- Is a special rectangle were all the sides are equal. Also every angle is a right angles this mean equal to 90 degress.

  10. Median - The middle number ( in a sorted list of numbers).
(In order to find the Median make a list of all the numbers you are give in order of value and find the middle number).

    1. if there is an even amount of numbers in your list, find the middle pair of numbers, and then find the value that would be half way between them. This is done by adding them together and dividing by two.

  11. Rotation is the turning around a center

  12. Altitude-Generally: another word for height.

For a triangle: a line at right angles to a side and going through the opposite corner.

  13. Base angle- The angle that is formed by the base and one leg in an isosceles triangle. The base angles are always equal.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Equilateral Triangle- A triangle with all three sides of equal length. All the angles will be 60°

    ReplyDelete
  15. perpendicular bisector is a line which cuts a line segment into two equal parts at 90°.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Vertical Angles are the angles opposite each other when two lines cross.

  17. the midpoint is the middle point of a line segment. It is equidistant from both endpoints, and it is the centroid both of the segment and of the endpoints. It bisects the segment.

    1. KITE the kite is an quadrilateral whose four sides can be grouped into two pairs of equal-length sides that are adjacent to each other. In contrast, a parallelogram also has two pairs of equal-length sides, but they are opposite each other rather than adjacent.
